It seems as though every where you go more and more homes, restaurants, cafe, offices and more are adopting a minimalist design. From basic colors, spacious layouts, and a focus on shape and texture — implementing minimalism is a sure way to replace the clutter with a calmer state of mind.

Interested in introducing minimalism into your home’s design? Forget investing in an interior designer! Below are 5 Minimal Home Decor Instagram accounts you should follow today!

1. Kristen Grove

The bookshelf is a great place to sprinkle minimalism into your home. Take a tip from Interior Designer, Kristen Gove, on how she uses space, light and texture to find a perfect balance between modern and traditional.

2. Orlando Soria

When your canvas is blank, the tiniest things stand out — like the stainless steel kettle in this photo. That’s what I love about Orlando Soria’s approach to minimalism in the kitchen. He keeps it fresh with all white walls, and cabinets and brings in a pop of minimalism with a textured white tile backsplash.

I miss this kitchen and the guy I shared it with. And I’ve been finding myself looking at pictures of it a lot, doing research for my parents’ kitchen makeover. It’s kind of satisfying to look back on this project, but mostly just painful and sad. Something that isn’t painful and sad is all the fun research I’ve gotten to do for this orMOMdo/orlanDAD Kitchen reno. I’ve been to the @bertazzoniitalia factory in Italy, I’ve checked out the @fireclaytile factory in Northern California, I’ve wandered around the @getredwood lumber mill in Sonoma County and today I’m visiting the home of @cambriaquartz (Minneapolis) and touring the factory where it’s all made. Anyway I guess the moral of the story is that if you’re heartbroken and giving up on life you should become an annoying lifestyle blogger, do a sponsored makeover for your parents kitchen, take a million fascinating factory tours, and pretend the past never happened BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS TOTALLY FINE NOW I PROMISE OK??? Okay bye. #orcondo #rip #designtherapy #spon #kinda #whateverimalone #hommealone #remodelmylife #K #hashtag

3. Benjamin Vandiver

Blocks of neutral color are the driving force in this living room’s minimal design by NYC & Nashville designer, Benjamin Vandiver. Take note of the white painting on the white wall and its relationship to the large windows that bring natural light into this spacious room. Nothing is complicated about this design, which makes it precisely minimal.

4. Studio McGee

If your home comes with timeless elements like a vaulted ceiling, let that be what stands out! Take a tip from the interior deco dynamic duo, Studio Mcgee. Their use of basic color makes the eye travel upward to the beautiful ceiling above.

5. Kate Arends

Clean! That is the way to go in any bathroom and a minimal approach to bathroom design will keep things clutter free so you can take a bath in peace. Interior Designer, Kate Arends, uses bright whites and textured neutral towels to keep things simple and fresh.
