Bio
As a 25+ year resident of the Monterey Peninsula, Jim has established the tenure of a successful real estate broker that has always gone the “extra mile” for his clients. Jim feels privileged to have raised his family on the Monterey Peninsula and enjoys giving back to the community, as well as the sport of tennis for which he was a professional competitor on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour.
Early in Jim’s professional career his business management skills, provided a natural platform within Travel Industry Management to excel as a tennis director for Sheraton Hotels in the Pacific Rim for multiple tennis facilities throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Upon moving to the Monterey Peninsula in 1994 Jim was hired by Konica-Minolta as regional sales manager with Konica-Minolta office automation hardware and software. After 9 years of managing accounts for Konica-Minlota Jim transitioned his sales management skills to the dynamic business of real estate.
Licensed since 2003, Jim has been recognized by Coldwell Banker with the International Presidents Elite recognition as the #1 producing real estate broker for Coldwell Banker’s Pebble Beach Office and the 3rd top producing real estate broker for Coldwell Banker - Monterey Peninsula, and top 1% producing real estate broker nationwide. With over $500,000,000 in closed escrows, Jim understands the power in connecting visitors to the incredible lifestyles of the Monterey Peninsula.
Outside of real estate, Jim created 5 championship tennis team for Carmel High over the last 6 years. Giving his student-athletes a fundamentally strong framework of how to be a successful competitor has been tremendously gratifying. Inspiring his athletes to show dedication in improving their games and supporting the team play has nurtured an atmosphere of the team and school pride. Although Jim has stepped down from coaching Carmel High in 2019 he enjoys mentoring up-and-coming talent. Jim helps in the coaching of the #1 Boys 16 and-under player in the country. Jim has been married for 31 years and the father of 2 sons for which one has a degree in Mechanical Engineering working for the United States Government, and the youngest is a senior at U.C. Davis graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering.
