In fact, people who know her refer to her as, “the Realtor for people & pets” because she is active in the pet rescue community too! “My goal is to help as many people & pets find the homes of their dreams, as I possibly can. I love meeting new people! Combining my passion for people & pets came naturally to me.
My husband & I have 9 rescue dogs of our own, & they add so much to our lives. We have no children, so our pets are our kids. We’re pet people, & if I can help homeless animals find loving homes & help people find homes, then I am thrilled!”
For the past eight consecutive years Sharon has been honored to be the recipient of the coveted Five Star Professional Award, 2011-2019. The Five Star Professional Award is given to the top 1% of Realtors in the State. This award is based on Customer & Client Evaluation & Satisfaction, Peer Recommendations, as well as sales volume. Customers & clients evaluate Realtors in 10 areas: Customer Service, Integrity, Marketing Knowledge, Communication, Negotiation, Closing Preparation, Post-Sale Service, Ability to Find the Right House, Marketing Capability, & Overall Satisfaction. Peers nominate fellow Realtors based Professional Excellence & Exceptional Service. According to the Texas Real Estate Commission, there are approximately 61,125 licensed Realtors in Dallas-Ft Worth. Out of those 61,125 Realtors, only 455 received this award in 2019.
Sharon has earned e-PRO certification by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The e-PRO Internet Professional Certification program is the only online training course for Internet professionalism recognized by the NAR. As an e-PRO certified real estate agent Sharon has joined the ranks of a special community of highly skilled & continuously trained professionals who provide high quality & innovative on-line based real estate services.
She has earned her Buyer Representation certification. She is also a Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource Specialist, a Texas Affordable Housing Specialist & a New Home Sales Specialist. Sharon is also a certified Home Stager & she's able to share her knowledge with her clients to help them correctly stage their homes in order to appeal to the largest audience.
Sharon Carman is a long-time resident of the DFW area. As a child, Sharon & her family moved to Dallas in 1969, Joshua in 1972, & finally to Arlington in 1976. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1983. And, in 1992 Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science with a double major of Business Management & Marketing from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado.
Her real estate career began in Denver, Colorado. While attending college, she worked with a worldwide franchise selling primarily high-end properties just outside of Denver.
After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Business Management & Marketing, Sharon returned to North Texas. "I've lived in Dallas - Ft. Worth most of my life. My family moved here when I was only 4 years old, so it's really home to me! It's a great place to live. The people are warm & friendly, & there is lots of sunshine. I love it here!"
She entered the advertising industry working for the third largest agency in Dallas. While there, Sharon learned the 'ins & outs' of the advertising world. Sharon gained valuable experience & learned to think 'outside the box.' ''I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in such an exciting industry. I learned so much & I am able to apply it to my business today.
After just three years, returned to real estate as a licensed Texas Realtor. She worked with two of the largest franchises in Texas. In August of 2000 she decided to open The Real Estate Connection in order to better serve client needs.
Sharon enjoys volunteering for the Red Cross, the Miracle League of DFW, Night to Shine (a Tim Tebow organization), Habitat for Humanity & volunteers in the dog rescue community. She and her husband, Chris Gallop, live in Burleson with their pets: a hedgehog, a beta fish, a guinea pig and nine dogs - a black Lab, a Red Heeler, a Long-haired Chihuahua, a Pomchi, a Bichon/Havanese mix, a Papillon/Chihuahua mix, a PugChi & two dogs with special needs: a three-legged Miniature Pinscher & a tiny Chihuahua with a nerve disorder. All 9 are rescues! Chris is a Paramedic of 31+ years.
