He has a journalism background and has owned or edited several publications. He has actively lobbied for reforms in Nevada, especially as laws relate to social justice and equality-based civil rights. Currently, he is chairman of the board for Bridge Counseling, the state’s largest behavioral healthcare organiztion, and serves on the board for Bright Star Foundation, an organization for housing-vulnerable.
